We are having our 1st Annual Tsunami Golf Tournament at Spessard Holland Golf Course.
We need YOUR help to volunteer in several different positions (kids can also volunteer)-- it is not necessary that you know anything about golf.
- 1-2 photographers to get the fun shots of the day for the MBSC website
The goal for this year is to continue making improvements on the soccer fields ie: more lights on the fields for night practices/games or a kickback wall or shaded seating by the concession stand!
Our Tsunami teams work hard to make Melbourne Beach a well known soccer community! We would like to have the best possible golf tournament for these teams! We need your help getting it all started ! Under a blanket of blue skies and warm Florida sunshine, the Melbourne Beach Tsunami rolled into Palm Bay on Feb. 20 for a 3v3 tournament and brought home championship medals for the Under-8 girls, Under-12 boys and Under-13 girls teams.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Tsunami U15 Girls State Cup Team for winning the Championship at the Score at the Shore Tournament held in Tampa over President’s Weekend. The team rebounded from a difficult position after losing their first two games, by posting 3 straight shut-outs. The Tsunami girls tied RSL 0-0 in their last pool game, then went on to defeat FC Pride from Indianapolis in the quarterfinals on PKs 3-1, and in the semifinals they defeated Island Coast in PKs 5-4. The team showed a great deal of courage and desire, to emerge as the best team in their flight, by defeating a determined CFU team in the finals 2-1. The team is coached by Dayne Barrow, Bino Campanini, and David Forry. Since the tournament, the team has advanced to the final 8 teams in the Florida State League. Go Tsunami!
The Tsunami U11 boys claimed their third straight championship in the January Ormond Beach Challenge, winning the final game in PKs. At the same tourney, the U9 girls claimed their first championship. Go Tsunami!!

Washington Freedom v Chicago Red Star
Friday 12th March 2010: Kick off 7.00pm
VERO BEACH -- Only 2,000 seats will be sold for an exhibition game 7 p.m. March 12 between two Women's Professional Soccer teams, the Chicago Red Stars and the Washington Freedom.
Tickets are expected to sell out quickly as nine current U.S. Women's National Team members and several outstanding international players are on the rosters of the two teams. All tickets are for general admission to bleachers and standing room at the Indian River Soccer Association's Hobart Soccer Complex, located just west of the Indian River County Fairgrounds at 7955 58th Ave., just north of Vero Beach.
